Originating from the Amazon, this pepper with a tropical fruit flavor comes specifically from Chile and has been cultivated for 8,500 years. Today, Habaneros are widely grown in Mexico and the Caribbean, where they are enjoyed in everyday food. Our friend Habanero is the strongest natural pepper in the world, while other powerful peppers are more recent hybrids. The Congo is a variety of Habanero that produces larger and more aromatic fruits. The fruits of the Habanero Congo Yellow measure between 4 and 6 cm. The plant grows as a bush, reaching 1 meter in height and can yield up to 2 kg of fruit per plant.
